New Art Piece: Nannie's Churn

Type: Oil/Linen 24 by 30
This old churn was the source of many pounds of butter and thousands of pound cakes. It belonged to 'Nannie' (Gyzelle Walker Gibson, of Brundidge, Alabama). She was my sister-in-law and was loved by my family. This painting now hangs in the home of her son Tom and Lynda Gibson in Troy.
My children loved their "Nannie and Hunk" while growing up.

My good friend Bonnie Hale is always bringing special things for me to paint and this lovely pot was my Christmas gift. She is special....and the pot is beautiful. Look for it in many other paintings.

New Art Piece: Oriental Vase With Persimmons

Type: Oil/Linen 9 by 12

I look forward to sharing my new works with you during the coming year. This first piece was done here in my Florida studio using a small Oriental Vase with a few fruits and berries left over from Christmas.
This was one of my first works as an Alabama Daily Painter. I am delighted to have been recently invited to join the Alabama Daily Painter group. Look for my work there as well.
